Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Friday announced that if dairy owners form cooperative societies, then the Chhattisgarh government will consider buying their dairy products.
Baghel said this to a farmer from Charama, Bhushan Sahu, during a ‘Bhent Mulaqat’ programme in Gitpahar in Bhanupratappur assembly segment in North Bastar.
Sahu told the Chief Minister that he was involved in dairy farming. Milk purchase centers in the state and purchase of milk at government approved prices would have made things easier for them.
Responding, Baghel said that if the cooperative societies start this initiative, then the government could consider opening collection centers after examining the cases.
He told the farmers of Gitpahar that it was always beneficial to work through cooperative societies as government schemes were designed to encourage them.
