The general manager of Amulfed Dairy has filed a complaint of cheating against assistant manager of fresh products for producing fake transport bills and defrauding the company of Rs 4 crore in 12 years.

Anil Bayani (52) of Amulfed Dairy has accused Ujjawal Vyas, a resident of Orchid Elegance, SoBo of running M U Carting, a fraudulent transport company in the name of his wife Meeti Vyas. Vyas allegedly raised fake bills using genuine trips by trucks to defraud the company since 2010.

The cheating was found during an audit. Vyas admitted to the cheating between July 2010 and February 10, 2022 of Rs 4,02,48,083.On February 14, Vyas gave a cheque of Rs 5 lakh to the company which was encashed. The next day he disappeared after giving two cheques. A complaint was filed with the Adalaj police station on Wednesday.
