As per findings of CRISIL, closure of hotels, restaurants, canteens, catering etc has impacted the demand of milk and milk products. Products like ice creams , curd, buttermilk, lassi and flavored milk, etc usually peaks their demand in the period of April and May in which the country remained under lockdown. It was from late April or early May that the supply chain got better and products like milk, paneer, curd etc got bettered.

Major impact will be seen on unorganized sector as masses will be doubting the quality of the products in the wake of COVID 19. There are less chances of milk prices soaring up as the demand will not be very aggressive. Demand amongst various categories of milk and milk products have already dipped from 15-25% currently.
