Dushsagar dairy MD suspended for 600 MT ghee adulteration case

Dudhsagar dairy board has taken a decision to suspend it’s Managing Director Mr Nitish Baxi with immediate effect. 600 MT of adulterated ghee caught from their Rajasthan based manufacturing facility.

Dudhsagar manufactures milk and milk products under Amul and Sagar brands. The sample of ghee was first checked at Amulfed Gandhinagar plant . It contained 16% palm oil mixed in it. Also read Rampant adulteration of ghee in Dudhsagar dairy shows the dark shades of ghee business

Local FDCA teams are also carrying out their investigation. Registrar of cooperatives at Ahmedabad directed the apex body of Amul to take strict action against the MD of the Mehsana Union. The Board of directors have charged the managing director for negligence in duty while suspending him.
